{"id":8641,"date":"2021-01-21T12:30:09","date_gmt":"2021-01-21T11:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2021.nationalpark-unteres-odertal.de\/presseerklaerung\/press-release-1-2021\/"},"modified":"2021-01-21T12:30:09","modified_gmt":"2021-01-21T11:30:09","slug":"press-release-1-2021","status":"publish","type":"presseerklaerung","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalpark-unteres-odertal.de\/en\/press-release\/press-release-1-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Press release 1\/2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hedges divide the landscape<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last year, the Asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion of Friends of the Ger\u00adman-Pol\u00adish Euro\u00adpean Nation\u00adal Park Unteres Oder\u00adtal eV (Nation\u00adal Park Asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion) launched two large projects to plant hedgerows and field trees in the large\u00adly cleared agri\u00adcul\u00adtur\u00adal land\u00adscape of the nation\u00adal park region. The objec\u00adtive is the same in both cas\u00ades: the five to ten meter wide hedges are intend\u00aded to sub\u00addi\u00advide the agri\u00adcul\u00adtur\u00adal land\u00adscape again, prefer\u00adably based on old struc\u00adtures. This is intend\u00aded to pro\u00adtect the arable soil from ero\u00adsion, because vio\u00adlent winds car\u00adry the fer\u00adtile soil from the field as a dis\u00adturb\u00ading dust. In the past there have been more acci\u00addents on motor\u00adways because the road traf\u00adfic was severe\u00adly obstruct\u00aded by these clouds of dust. The soil gains fer\u00adtil\u00adi\u00adty with the new hedges and ben\u00ade\u00adfits from the par\u00adtial shad\u00ading. Above all, how\u00adev\u00ader, insects and birds such as the red-backed killer or whin\u00adchat regain a small part of their habi\u00adtats. Espe\u00adcial\u00adly the plants and ani\u00admals of the agri\u00adcul\u00adtur\u00adal land\u00adscape are threat\u00adened and show strong declines in the num\u00adbers of species and indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adals. They get a new home in hedges and woods \u2014 actu\u00adal\u00adly their old&nbsp;one.<\/p>\n<p>That<strong> Cor\u00adri\u00addor wood project in Fel\u00adchow \/ Flems\u00addorf \/ Criewen<\/strong> includes four hedges with a total length of three kilo\u00adme\u00adters, with a width of eight to ten meters. The bush\u00ades and trees are plant\u00aded in sev\u00aden to nine rows. A total of 25,000&nbsp;m\u00b2 are plant\u00aded, but in such a way that they are not harm\u00adful to sub\u00adsi\u00addies for the farmer. The prac\u00adti\u00adcal imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion lies in the tried and test\u00aded hands of the Nor\u00adduck\u00ader\u00adm\u00e4rkische Seen\u00adland\u00adschaft eV land\u00adscape con\u00adser\u00adva\u00adtion asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion. The spe\u00adcial\u00adist plan\u00adning was car\u00adried out for us by Her\u00admann Wiesing. Financ\u00ading is pro\u00advid\u00aded by the Stiftung\u00adNaturSchutz Fonds Bran\u00adden\u00adburg in the amount of 260,000 euros from funds for com\u00adpen\u00adsato\u00adry and replace\u00adment mea\u00adsures, main\u00adly from wind pow\u00ader and pipeline con\u00adstruc\u00adtion. The invest\u00adment and imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion peri\u00adod, includ\u00ading three-year main\u00adte\u00adnance, ranges from 2020\u20132023.<\/p>\n<p>In which<strong> Dry pold\u00ader cor\u00adri\u00addor wood and hedge project<\/strong> In the south\u00adern part of the nation\u00adal park, a good four kilo\u00adme\u00adters of hedges and field trees were plant\u00aded in five plant sec\u00adtions, con\u00adsist\u00ading of three-row rows of heis\u00adter and shrub\u00adbery, one side of the water, five meters wide. Most\u00adly dif\u00adfer\u00adent types of wil\u00adlow were plant\u00aded as heis\u00adter, but also alder and oak, as bush\u00ades dog\u00adwood, vibur\u00adnum and buck\u00adthorn were used. When plant\u00adi\u00adng in the pold\u00ader, the fence anchored in the ground also serves to pro\u00adtect against the vora\u00adcious beaver, which at least has to stay out\u00adside for a&nbsp;while.<\/p>\n<p>The prac\u00adti\u00adcal imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion was in the hands of Baum\u00adschule Appel GmbH from Wald\u00adsiev\u00aders\u00addorf, the plan\u00adning again with Her\u00admann Wiesing. Financ\u00ading was pro\u00advid\u00aded by the Invest\u00adment Bank of the State of Bran\u00adden\u00adburg (ILB) in the amount of 232,000 euros from fed\u00ader\u00adal and state funds as part of the joint task \u201cImprove\u00adment of the Agri\u00adcul\u00adtur\u00adal Struc\u00adture and Coastal Pro\u00adtec\u00adtion (GAK)\u201d. The invest\u00adment and imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion peri\u00adod includ\u00ading two-year main\u00adte\u00adnance is from 2020\u20132022.<\/p>\n<p>Every vis\u00adi\u00adtor and res\u00adi\u00addent can already take a look at the plan\u00adta\u00adtions. The future for agri\u00adcul\u00adture and nature con\u00adser\u00adva\u00adtion is grow\u00ading here. The nation\u00adal park asso\u00adci\u00ada\u00adtion not only wants to pro\u00adtect and devel\u00adop the nation\u00adal park itself, but also to inte\u00adgrate it into the sur\u00adround\u00ading fields.
