We pro­tect nature not only for its own sake, but also for peo­ple. It should serve the present and future gen­er­a­tions for edu­ca­tion, recre­ation and edi­fi­ca­tion and give joy and sat­is­fac­tion. That is why the asso­ci­a­tion and the foun­da­tion offer res­i­dents and vis­i­tors of the Low­er Oder Val­ley a series of excur­sions every year, which are tech­ni­cal­ly demand­ing but gen­er­al­ly under­stand­able, and which are ded­i­cat­ed to impor­tant eco­log­i­cal top­ics and which are led by top-class experts from the region.

The foun­da­tion and the asso­ci­a­tion are hap­py and grate­ful to have recruit­ed rec­og­nized sci­en­tists from the Tier­park and Zoo Berlin, from the Muse­um für Naturkunde in Berlin and from oth­er research insti­tutes and uni­ver­si­ties in the region who reg­u­lar­ly vol­un­teer for nature con­ser­va­tion education.
